Wow! ** LP 140gr + insert 30 x30. Orange Vinyl ** "La Morte ha Fatto l’Uovo” (1968), here published for the first time on vinyl, is a distinctive score distinguished by avant-garde soundscapes that mix the dazzling tones of an unusual thriller that pays homage to Luis Buñuel's filmography. “Death Laid an Egg” is a 1968 film directed by Giulio Questi, with an international cast starring Ewa Aulin, Gina Lollobrigida and Jean-Louis Trintignant, a very special film from the photography of warm and glittering tones, in strong contrast with atmospheres and a dark and dark plot.
The soundtrack of the film, composed and directed by Bruno Maderna, is even more peculiar and distant from the typical soundtracks of the time and almost all similar works of those years: no trace of beat or psychedelia in fact, as a collection of abstract and dissonant compositions, which we could call avant-garde and in part associate with certain experiments characteristic of an active formation in those same years, the Gruppo di Improvvisazione Nuova Consonanza, but also to the more experimental side of the genre library music. All songs were made with the help of bow, acoustic guitar, piano and spoken word. A truly unique work, unpredictable and almost impossible to classify!
