Il Pianeta d'Acqua
In May 1980 the Italian Radio and Television, RAI, put on air on the TV national network a program on the water, a  very hot topic. The proposal to RAI of that really interesting topic came by the talented director of documentaries Carlo Alberto Pinelli. Always very attentive to the socio-cultural issues, now Pinelli has got credits for over one hundred and twenty documentary-investigations. The shooting of "Il Pianeta d'Acqua" brought him to travel a good part of the world. Maestro Ennio Morric…
Opposte Esperienze
This beautiful and rich soundtrack, written especially for "Opposte esperienze", shows  an artistic sensibility that has no equal in the difficult world of cinema,  because it reflects the passions that run and overlap in context and it is  particularly attentive to the feelings that disrupt the lives of humans who  take turns in the film. Only a keen student of human frailties may report  on the musical staff all those feelings that afflict the world daily and Ennio Morricone with his whole exp…
Once Upon A Time In The West
2020 repress, clear vinyl + poster. After the "Dollar Trilogy", Sergio Leone was given a new offer on another western movie that he could not refuse. Following his own rules again, and working on the film story with Bernardo Bertolucci and Dario Argento, he directed the monumental "Once upon a time in the West", featuring the American actors Henry Fonda and Charles Bronson among others. Each character is strongly stereotyped here, a fact emphasized by the motion picture soundtrack, once again del…
A Fistful of Dollars / Per un Pugno di Dollari
**2020 repress. Red vinyl + poster** Year 1964. Almost out of nowhere, the little-known and regarded director Sergio Leone transposes into a western key a film by Akira Kurosawa, and by putting together all the right pieces, adding a bit of intuition, lays down new rules for the 'spaghetti western' genre, giving way to an endless series of imitations."A Fistful of Dollars" would not have the same impact without the inimitable music written by Ennio Morricone, who had curiously been an old elemen…
The Good, The Bad And The Ugly/Il Buono, Il Brutto E Il Cattivo
LP 180gr black vinyl, 2020 repress. "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" is neither more nor less than the perfect soundtrack to the most wonderful of western movies, the third and final act of the "Dollar Trilogy" directed by Sergio Leone. A film not only rated among the best of the genre, but universally considered among the most successful in the history of cinema. Ennio Morricone, a higher caliber composer to whom each musician usually relates with the simple title of 'Master', has here been abl…
Inconsueto Grottesco
Cometa Music Publishing with this cd nr. 41 begins a new series of collection of original music tracks titled: SPECIAL THEME SERIES and the First proposed theme in this CD is  Unusual Grotesque  that means: UNUSUAL – is the contrast with the normal life of every days or the habits. GROTESQUE – is a tragicomic effect based on a desired disproportion between the elements of a particular dramatic moment. And who better than our great, incomparable, eclectic Maestro Ennio Morricone could inaugurate …
Buone Notizie
This soundtrack composed and conducted by Ennio Morricone is just as such intense as any other score composed by the Master. This music involves the audience so deeply inside the plot. It captures the viewers mind, and makes them to share in the drama from the first to the last shot of the movie. Maestro Morricone is not new to this kind of magic. If we close our eyes and we indulge in our memories, we will have the feeling of famous notes, such as those of Once Upon a Time in the West, Metti un…
Il gatto a nove code
"Il gatto a nove code" (The cat o 'nine tails), filmed in 1971, is the second film by Dario Argento, a horror thriller still distant from his horror works for which he will later become famous on an international level. The collaboration with the composer and conductor Ennio Morricone, already known for his work on Sergio Leone’s western movies, is here renewed after the success of "The Bird with the Crystal Plumage", and will continue with the third installment of the 'zoological trilogy', "Fou…
The Feed-Back
**CD edition** Long-awaited reissue of this incredible and near-mythical 1970 album, remastered from the original master tapes with superior sound quality, replica of the original RCA LP (in gatefold digipack with additional liner notes) in a limited edition of 500 copies. An insane amalgam of avant-improvisation and motorik krautrock beats that, understandably, has become one of the most collectable LPs ever issued (original copies are impossible to obtain).Just as the first "krautrock" lp's we…
Sound Dimensions
RESTOCKED, very last copies around, and price reduced!  A lovely reissue of a collection of rare experimental, avant-garde music that was composed/recorded in 1972 by Ennio Morricone and Bruno Nicolai for the RCA catalogue. The music of each track was created in order to give, in a series of expressive dynamic work throu…
Niente
** restocked, last copies around, sold out at source ** Mindblowing limited vinyl reissue! Founded in Rome in 1964, ‘Il Gruppo Di Improvvisazione Nuova Consonanza’ was a collective of noted and noteworthy composers who challenged the very structure and performance of music itself. Today the most renowned of its members would be film scoring genius Ennio Morricone (indeed “Il Gruppo…” performed on many celebrated Morricone scores of the 1960s and 1970s) but each contributor has an intriguing hist…

Un tranquillo posto di campagna
RESTOCKED! This is a long out of print CD with a mindblowing soundtrack to Elio Petri's disturbing 1969 horror movie Un Tranquillo Posto di Campagna (AKA A Quiet Place in the Country). Credited to Ennio Morricone as composer and Il Gruppo di Improvvisazione Nuova Consonanza as perfomers, with their best line up (Mario Bertoncini, Walter Branchi, Franco Evangelisti, John Heinemann, Egisto Macchi, and Ennio Morricone as well) - very few copies available
1967-1975
Led by pianist Franco Evangelisti, Gruppo di Improvvisazione Nuova Consonanza performed as a collective from 65 -71. The focus was to expand both the sonic capabilities of their instruments, but also the sensitivity of each performer within the context of the improvisation. The result(s) remain some of the purist and elevated abstract explorations put to tape retaining both warmth and intelligence. Piano, percussion, double bass, trombone, cello, trumpet, etc are the tools for unparalleled types…
Azioni
** very last copies ** Il Gruppo was a brilliant and prolific composer's collective exploring extended techniques and new sound sources through the medium of improvisation. Although very much a product of its time, their music remains timeless. They were instrumental in founding a radical tradition of western musical improvisation that owed little or nothing to anybody and created some of the strangest music ever made. They were utterly unique. (from John Zorn liner notes, NYC 2006)   This delu…
