Granny Record’s 5th release is the self titled album by Athens duo, Free Piece Of Tape. The album’s structure is based on nine compositions. Although they have been recorded through deifferent periods of time, the result ends up homeomorphus and coherent. Free piece of tape is an Athens-based duo of Giorgos Axiotis and Efthimis Theodosis that has been performing and producing amplified and electroacoustic music for the past eight years. “Two fields and a snowflake” is a rather peculiar approach to their usual sounds, since it consists of three totally acoustic improvised tracks, played and recorded live between March 2008 and April 2009 in three different locations in Athens; at a toilet, a living room and a 2nd floor balcony.
