Kluster

Kluster were a short lived "band" that existed in the early 1970's, formed by Conrad Schnitzler after he left Tangerine Dream, and at the height of what we now refer to as "Kraut Rock". Comprising Roedelius, Moebius and Conrad Schnitzler, they were together long enough to record and release three albums, all in editions of between a few hundred and five hundred, and all of which are today extremely hard to find collectors items that, when found, usually go for hundreds of dollars each. Conrad left Kluster after their third album "Eruption". Roedelius and Moebius have continued under the name Cluster, with dozens of releases already out under this name.

Variety of Moods
This eleven-song debut EP shows the promise that Hans Joachim Roedelius has. This album has some very good songs like Muy Encantado and Bons Jours. Hans Joachim Roedelius’s debut, ‘Variety Of Moods’, does not fit easily into one genre. Unappreciated gift to Ambient Song Bons Jours is actually a funny song. A great put together song. Mattgold is the song that really did it for me. Music and lyrics of Der Mann Aus Lodz creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Albumblatt is one of those son…
Admira
Previously unreleased recordings from 1971. Admira is sourced from original master recordings discovered by Kluster member and Tangerine Dream engineer Klaus Freudigmann. Along with Vulcano, also being released at the same time on Important, Admira is presented here for the first time in this deluxe package. These intense sessions were made with Schnitzler at the helm, as always, after the departure of Mobius and Roedelius from the group. Conrad Schnitzler founded Kluster in 1969 along with Roed…
Kluster 1970-1971
Founded in 1969, German ambient space-rock pioneers Kluster were originally a trio featuring Conrad Schnitzler, Hans-Joachim Roedelius, and Dieter Moebius. During their brief lifespan (before Schnitzler left in 1971 and the duo renamed themselves Cluster) they recorded three LPs, all of which are available here. The first two records, Klopfzeichen and Zwei-Osterei, recorded in 1969 and 1970 respectively, were sponsored and released by a church-run record label (Schwann) and as a result of contra…
Vulcano
Vulcano is limited to 1000 copies and is packaged in a deluxe embossed gatefold jacket made to emulate the embossed packaging for Kluster's album Klopfzeichen. Very deluxe. Vulcano is sourced from original master recordings recently discovered by Kluster member, and Tangerine Dream engineer, Klaus Freudigmann. Along with Admira, also being released at the same time on Important, Vulcano is presented here for the first time in this deluxe package. These intense sessions were made with Schnitzler …
Eruption
monolithic guitar / drum / synth tumblers ; an awesome, necessary adjunct to the important Kluster records. Credited to Eruption, that was a short-lived German krautrock or experimental music super group founded by former Tangerine Dream member and then current Kluster (3) member Conrad Schnitzler. Eruption performed free-form, improvisational, experimental music, some of which resembles industrial music
