Rorschac 2 or “Lolophophora” tells the story of Lolo, an expert magician and spy of Hollywood. "...Aspetta!" Caught up in an abstract rapture through Hollywood’s Babylonian magic scene, our protagonist finds herself on the run, (or shall we say, on the prowl). A devilish plot to uncover Lolo’s whereabouts is at hand. A counterspell is needed. Through the use of the infamous spiral rug, a devilish mirror-trick is then cast. That which lies behind the curtains is revealed! Who dares wins!
For Lolo…
**CD edition** Dual piano meetings have a checkered history in the improvised music world. Although innovators such as Satoko Fujii and Keith Tippett have experimented notably with the form, the instruments’ orientation towards harmony and away from abstraction have defeated others efforts. Two piano duos, one Belgian and one French, have found a way out of the conundrum by hewing to contrasts in keyboard preparation and musical direction. Pak Yan Lau and Lionel Malric met in June 2014, witho…
Released alongside the reissue of Steve Maxwell Von Braund’s milestone Australian kosmische classic, Monster Planet, the Dual Planet label offers you another taste of the antipodean cosmic trip. This time Von Braund had re-grouped as the electronic duo, Cybotron. Most collectors are familiar that the legendary Cybrotron released three cosmic classics at the tail end of the 70s and early 80s. Cybotron (1976), Colossus (1978) and Implosion (1980), but most are unaware of an unreleased live recordi…

Ambienti Coassiali is among the more obscure acts within the 1980’s scene in Italy, having only issued a lone cassette in 1988 - Vol. 1 - Room 1-6, which was released in a tiny, almost unheard edition. We've been told that Ambienti Coassiali was conceived as an ambient side project of Capricorni Pneumatici, but little information exists about either band, beyond the pseudonyms Pazuzu and Soda Caustica - drawn from Aleister Crowley's Liber A'ASH Vel Capricorni Pneumatici Sub Figura CCCLXX. What …
An Island In The Moon is the perfectly conceived minimal ambient project from Italian composers Pier Luigi Andreoni (Doubling Riders, ATROX) and Silvio Linardi. Andreolina being a mix of the names of the two musicians who were both deeply involved with the label Auf Dem Nil on which the album was originally released in 1990. The duo stick to a disciplined and simple palette using only two synthesizers and a Roland S50 sampler. They are joined by fellow electronic journeyman Riccardo Sinigaglia w…

During 1979 and 1981 and after running punk-orientated Bands with his Brother Derek for 3 years (Those Nervous Surgeaons, Nervous Surgeons & Half Nervous), Adrian recorded about 6 tapes with almost 6 hours of wonderful atmospheric and powerful minimal/synth-music that no listener can escape from without experiencing wonderful feelings and emotions. His first two tapes from 1979 (From the Silent Days and Absolutely Safe) were only given to friends (for lack of contacts and a still to be es…

The fascinating conversations cover music, politics, sociology, current events, the arts and more. These Radio Happenings are legend to fans of these composers, as well as a unique mom…
The debut release of Illdjinn aka Mads Pind Forsby consists of a series of solo improvisations on an altered drum kit recorded and processed on reel-to-reel tape.
The eight tracks are all part of the same intuitive motion and range from intense industrial noise and electro-acoustic to climatic raves and spiritual minimalism.
Illdjinn is an uncompromising, transcending and hallucinatory record that explores the boundaries of sound and its physical barriers and turns the acoustics of the drum into…
**Small repress available of this instantly sold-out LP** Following two singles, two albums, and a bunch of compilation tracks, Ultra Eczema is proud to present Black Space, White Cloud, Miaux’s third LP. Mia Prce, originally from Sarajevo and a Belgian resident since 1989, was reared on a psychedelic diet of Krautrock and similarly serpentine music by her artist parents who were part of the Antwerp-based (and over fifty years old) Ercola collective. Beautiful songs that break hearts without us…
Hailing from Suuns, Canadian Ben Shemie offers up his first solo work, ‘A Skeleton’ - an experimental pop album of cold synthetic sounds with touches of psychedelia. Based on his live, itinerant experiments, the whole album was recorded in a single take with no overdub. Shemie has left traces of the atmosphere of each recording space, adding an element of chaos and unpredictability alongside his masterful/dexterous manipulation of the equipment. The voices and instruments sound as if they were dr…
Cankun is back on Hands In The Dark (LP) and Not Not Fun (cassette) with Only The Sun Is Full Of Gold, his 3rd full length album follow-up to the brilliant and unanimously acclaimed 2013's Culture of Pink. This time, Frenchman Vincent Caylet is inviting us to a two part journey: Side A sets Cankun's new tempo, taking the listener to darker spheres compared to his previous works, moving from a tropical beach to the middle of a dense, uncanny and unpredictable jungle, where the sun never reaches. …
Instead of rain I bring a hat is a long-distance collaboration between the UK’s Aaron Moore (Volcano The Bear, Gospel Of Mars, duo with Alan Courtis) and Norwegian Erik K Skodvin (Svarte Greiner, Deaf Center, B/B/S). It developed gently, taking its full form over the space of nearly 6 years. The project began with e-mail exchanges of fragmented sounds and ideas – on the piano, cello, drums, harp, vocals, homemade and electronic instruments. Their experimental correspondence eventually blossomed a…
Brian Case (Disappears, Bambi Kino Duo…) is releasing his debut solo album, Tense Nature, which sees him focus his work on space, minimalism and repetition. The songs are all built around the idea of tape loops or lock grooves, working with snippets and phrases of sound. Brian sampled guitar or small drum loops before cutting them randomly. The sequences and their imperfect nature were then reworked into a sort of momentum, built using Case’s own perception of the new fragments.
The result…
**Edition of 340 copies on black vinyl, gloss varnish sleeves and a 12-page full colour booklet ** the first release on Discreet Music and the 6th album from Arv & Miljö. Mainly recorded during the easter holiday 2020 and the coming weeks, Himmelsvind takes us back to the spring time, where as the previous album Svensk Sommar I Stilla Frid (Omlott Records, 2018) explored the Swedish summer. While sonically a continuation of the ambience and new age gloom of Svensk Sommar, the general tone on Him…
Gong’s debut album for Virgin Records has been remastered for the very first time from the original Virgin masters by the original producer, Simon Heyworth, and has been expanded with a previously unreleased concert recorded at The Bataclan in Paris in May 1973 plus 5 rare out-takes.
First reissue of this underground folk-psych classic, originally released in 1973 as a self-released LP. Red Hash features eleven haunting tracks of folk-pop played on acoustic and electric guitar and arranged with percussion, cello, flute, piano, organ, bass and mandolin. This plus Gary's transcendent vocals bring to mind the perfectly-damaged vibes found in David Crosby's masterpiece of peace, love and paranoia, If I Could Only Remember My Name and the recently re-discovered and acclaimed Para…

Never before released in any form, The Mysticism Of Sound & Cosmic Language is a revelation in sound. Incredibly diverse - an absolutely intoxicating, immersive journey through collective creativity which shatters the standing narratives, and foreshadows nearly every important movement of counter-…
The excellent Public Information label really comes into its own with this revelatory collection of early concréte tape music by F.C. Judd - a much overlooked British electronic music pioneer and contemporary of Daphne Oram. Born in Woodford, East London in 1914, Frederick Charles Judd served in the RAF coastal command during WWII working with highly secret radar equipment. After being demobbed he applied this knowledge and skilled engineering background to his musical interests, and with the ad…
