Painting Petals On Planet Ghost + Mykel Boyd
PPOPG is Ramona Ponzini and the Opalio Brothers from My Cat is an Alien. They bring the mellow on their side with a piece entitled 'I lose consciousness', with a sweet acoustic guitar intro and a mantra of Japanese chant and wind chimes, all floating over field recordings from the gardens of Kanazawa, Japan. Mykel Boyd's side consists of processed field recordings creating a very nice ride for those with a ticket. Ltd. 200 copies; 7" on white vinyl in opaque wrap-over sleeve.
Epocsonixarp
'Epocsonixarp' is the second full-lenght album of the Praxinoscope duo formed by Roberto Opalio (My Cat Is An Alien) and Ramona Ponzini (Painting Petals On Planet Ghost). This work is even more lyrical and ecstatic than the debut; here Roberto's use of a mini-keyboard and astral effects collides with Ramona's hypnotic use of several handmade wood percussions and her Japanese wind chimes and bells, creating such an infinite and intimate 'space' so that you cannot but loose yourself inside. A whir…
On air at Sound Projecting
The entire recording of the improvised live performance at Ed Pinsent’s "Sound Projecting" radio show, broadcasted by London’s Resonance 104.4 fm on December 10th 2004. In these sessions MCIAA don’t play their usual cosmic guitars, but only a couple of space toys & toy-microphones, plus a pocket theremin & mini-casio provided by Pinsent on the occasion; also featuring Pinsent himself at turntables. A different aspect of MCIAA’s experimental research, as well as a new amazing adventure through th…
There\'s a flame___sometimes
New Opax edition of this key-work, recorded in Fall 2003 at the glorious MCIAA's Space Room studio which was based in an abandoned factory zone in Torino, Italy, and where all the Opalio brothers' first recordings saw the light! Based on a spoken-word poem whispered by Roberto Opalio over the space brothers' subtle texture of percussions, guitars and electronics, and now newly available in two lavishly packaged vinyl editions. Vinyl with handwritten labels, in handmade heavy cardboard folder jac…

This new Bokanowski CD offers us two previously edited pieces (but now sold out) : 'Trois Chambres d'Inquiétude' (1975-1976) (previously on Elevator Bath) and 'Tabou' (1983-1984) (previously on Metamkine) and an unpublished piece 'Phone Variations' (1986-1988)“Why concrete music is so attractive to me, as opposed to written music... To write music implies that an idea or a thought is at the origins of the composition and that the final thing is the sound rendering of this thought. The sound is a…
We Sing For The Future
Like a chorus of eunuchs standing over you on your deathbed sending you off to hell with jews harp and squalid tunes from children?s plays?or like outtakes from a Diamanda Galas Mass, in which the choir tries to have fun with the libretto to keep from killing themselves-- Walter & Sabrina makes us fear them and fear for ourselves on ?We Sing For the Future.? The title track is a cover of the Cornelius Cardew piece (CC being Walter?s father and huge influence) which sets the stage for a whimsical…
Gluckskugel
Finders Keepers present the first ever collection of musical works of Bruno Spoerri, the mythical character who used to work with members of legendary Krautrockers Can and composed music for engineering companies and made motivational music for industrial sites and factories utilising concrete techniques, primitive sampling techniques and contemporary experimental psych-rock and funk musicians. Bruno also composed embryonic pre-Nintendo sprite-themes for the Germanic equivalents of It's A Knock …
Inter-Dimensional Music
CD reissue of the 1978 debut LP by the original new age music legend, Iasos. Fifteen tracks (including 3 bonus tracks) of original analog bliss. It is NOT the typical sounds of the average new age music found throughout the '80s, it is a trippy, exotic psych sound having roots in '60s West Coast experimental music. A cornerstone of new age music by real new agers. "l find lasos' inter-dimensional music needing new words to describe it. I feel as though I were entering a new world -- a new and ve…
Boundary Layer
A new recording by the band that pioneered laptop ensembles over twenty years ago coupled with an historic overview of their recordings, unreleased tracks and video clips of the band in performance. Functioning in the West Coast tradition of composer as instrument builder -- redefining music from the ground up -- The Hub makes music using electronic and digital systems of their own devising. A natural extension of the late 1970s ensemble the League of Automatic Music Composers, the group has per…
Perpetuum Mobile
estocked, reduced price: Perpetuum Mobile is the result of a uniquely schizophrenic 'open source' compositional process: the UK's finest collage composers (collage-posers?) Ergo Phizmiz and People Like Us (aka Vicki Bennett) uploaded files to a shared server, downloaded and processed each other's work, and flung the resulting fragments back at each other. The result is an interpenetrating audio-collage so intricate that neither party can recall who did what to whom. So far, so avant-garde; but w…
Abfleischung

The CD includes two previously unreleased tracks and comes in a jewel case with full color artwork and poster booklet also feat. the original front and back cover. First editio…
Pollution
Franco Battiato's wonderfully lively 1973 concept album Pollution is an audaciously psychedelic album drawn from the space rock dimension with good portions of electronics and keyboard layers. Drawing heavily on the VCS3 synthesizer, Battiato and company (besides himself, three backing band members play synth as well) give Pollution an extreme electronic edge. With comparisons to Ash Ra Tempel, Faust, and Pink Floyd, Pollution was declared 'genius' by Frank Zappa.

Recordings 1969-1988
Faitiche is ten years old. October 2008 saw the release of Ursula Bogner - Recordings 1969-1988, for which the label was created. While working as a pharmacist, Ursula Bogner experimented with electronic music, undiscovered, for over three decades. When Jan Jelinek first heard Bogner's work in 2008, he was enthusiastic. The resulting album, compiled by Jelinek from Bogner's extensive oeuvre, is being reissued in a remastered version to mark the label's tenth anniversary. This new version also in…

Springfield
Seven track mid-length CD, all tracks previously unreleased. Includes a new DFA remix. Before Homer (Simpson) there was Arthur Russell and his vision of a utilitarian and common social oasis. There appears to be in every state of the union a Springfield -- be it county, city or street. Arthur imagined that his music could be universally accepted in each and every one of them. Springfield is one of the last compositions Arthur Russell wrote in his all too short lifetime. Arthur recorded over four…

Pieces From The Cloudland Ballroom
Crucial reissues of the first two Anthony Moore solo albums from 1971/72. Originally issued by German Polydor (part of the same program that gave us the first Faust recordings), these were briefly reissued on CD by Japanese Polydor in 1995, but were instantly deleted. So now they are commonly available for the first time, the only negative being that Blueprint's packaging is quite generic & uninspired, with no credits and only tiny new liner notes from Mr. Moore which detail the compositional in…
Criss X Cross
this legendary album was recorded in 1979 and has been the stuff of legend ever since, so it is great to finally hear it in all it’s glory. A crucial, early concert that was beautifully recorded live in the Sorbonne Cathedral of Paris in 1979 and remains one of the most brilliant examples of Gibson's unique and hypnotic solo performances. I must say there is an element to this music which sounds beautifully theatrical, like the most wonderful, mysterious piece of theatre you could ever wish to s…
