Inventions & Dimensions
For his third Blue Note album Inventions & Dimensions (1963), pianist Herbie Hancock began moving away from the modernist hard bop sound that defined his first two albums Takin’ Off and My Point Of View. Inspired by explorers like Eric Dolphy and Tony Williams, Hancock went in search of greater musical freedom by composing a set of ingenious originals each with their own unique inner logic that did away with what he considered the established jazz “assumptions” of the time. Hancock also pared th…

Piercing guitars, synth orchestration and virtualism give life to thousands of blood thirsty zo…
Full Circle
A total peach comes back into circulation with Holger Czukay’s beguiling, heavily grooving ‘Full Circle’, starring crucial input from his Can bandmate Jaki Liebzeit on drums and Jah Wobble weilding the bass Instantly loveable for the grooving punk-disco ear worm of album opener ‘How Much Are They? - a big anthem in mid ‘80s Belgium and elsewhere - listeners will also encounter the muggy dub of ‘Where’s The Money?’ and the playfully exotic concrète-jazz-funk of ‘Full Circle R.P.S. (No. 7)’, along…

Demons
**666 copies, deluxe edition on purple vinyl** Definitive release of the Iconic Horror Film soundtrack firmed by Claudio Simonetti for the Horror/Gore movie Demons by Dario Argento and Lamberto Bava. The lower tones as the main characters move through the dark theater give a distinctly ‘creepy’ air to the movie. Eigen Boezem
Tucked away in the Dutch underground of the early 80’s a young Hessel Veldman created his own music world in the small industrial sea town of IJmuiden. It was a world recorded on tapes and reels. A world where things happened according to personal logic based on sonic exploration, electronic sounds and improvisation. The approach was intimate, at times light-hearted, but often following deep inner contemplation and total immersion in the creative process. Above all, music was made according to t…
Stadspark
**250 copies** Antwerp’s Stadspark: a once-thriving triangular cruising ground, and still an occasional recreation site. These days, however, the only flash you are likely to get is that of a police badge. Linger on a bench too long and brave the consequences; to fester at home is best. But the animals just proliferate. Unwanted domestic pets – gerbils, rabbits, mice – dumped in the night in Logan’s Run; no one knows how and when this unsavoury practice was begun. To his astonishment, The Admini…
Deep Stream
It was way back in 1979 when multi-instrumentalist Dawan Muhammad joined forces with a swathe of talented fellow jazz musicians to record and ultimately release Deep Stream, a private press exploration of spiritual jazz that has long been a must-have among serious collectors. Here High Jazz delivers the reissue we've all been waiting for. The set remains as timeless as ever, with highlights including the breezy bliss of the title track, the epic, reach-for-the-stars flex of "Sun/Moon/Stars" (whi…
A Heart So White
Three years on from their debut collaborative album “Passive Aggressive“, Jonny Nash and Suzanne Kraft return with their second full length album, “A Heart So White”. “A Heart So White” represents a continuation of the working philosophy adopted during the recording of their debut; immersion in an unfamiliar recording environment with a limited set of tools and the goal of exploring the possibilities that lie within these limitations. The album was written and recorded in the Willem Twee Concert…
Fools Harp Vol.1
Gentle new music on MFM from Grizzly Bear (the U.S band) founder member, Christopher Bear. The label Say: "Music From Memory are delighted to present Fools’ debut album ‘Fools’ Harp Vol. I’ and the first solo release of American musician Christopher Bear. Offerings
**200 copies** Gods of Rain explores textural improvisation for electric guitar and percussion/vocals. Brooding, arcane and foreboding, it navigates the turbulent waters of dark ambient and more abstract electronic music, swamped in swashes of caustic improv. Recorded in Berlin in 2005 without overdubs and live in the studio, this is electrifying listening that knows no boundaries. At times meditative and filigree-like, at others abrasive and drenched in explosions of molten lava. The ultimate m…

Recorded in 2018.
Optical Cadillac - The Granitoid Panics
A split 10inch with Jean-Philippe Gross on one side and Golden Oriole on the other. The first one delivers 7’30” of an impulsive electronic quicksand where everything seems unstable and elusive, with that strange feeling of not knowing if you are moving forward or not, or that experience of a “non-Newtonian fluid” – a fluid you can walk on. In short, we are between immobility and speed, between raw materials and etheric frequencies! The second Golden Oriole, Thore Warland, drums, and Kristoffer …

Tape from Oort Cloud
Tip! **200 copies** Sedimental is honored to partner with Skell to release the latest majestic work from Mike Griffin’s Parashi: Tape from Oort Cloud.
