*In process of stocking* 'When in 2006 our Zonic Spezial "Voltage. Power. Resistance. Magnetic Tape Underground GDR 1979-1990" was published in cooperation with Verbrecher Verlag and the legendary label ZickZack, there was some amazement. Especially when the enclosed CDs were listened to from a Western perspective. Part of this weird Kassettentäter-Ost potpourri of swirling post-punk variety, which Bert Papenfuß, Bo Kondren, Bernd Jestram and Ronald Lippok compiled with well-founded interpretive authority, was also a piece by Dieter Zobel and Jörg Thomasius, which was wrongly marked as the work of their joint Ostkraut band Das Freie Orchester, but actually came from their tape "Musik aus dem Regen", which appeared in 1988 on the band's own label Kröten Kassetten.

While the now highly traded Zonic Spezial had long since sold out, Bureau B made at least part of the musical spectrum accessible internationally with the selection "Magnetband" released in 2014. This prelude is now followed by two sequels to the series "Experimental Electronic Underground GDR", just in time for the release of the follow-up book "Magnetizdat DDR", which this time comes without a sound carrier: "MEZ 31,00", a solo cassette by Dieter Zobel aka Didier Leboz from 1989, as well as this compilation of Jörg Thomasius productions from the years 1980 to 1990.
