Seated at our favourite table, the cheeseboard, me and my good friend John witnessed the telepathy and synchronicity between Pat Thomas, Joel Grip, Antonin Gerbal and Seymour Wright. Intensity, energy, raw power and an endless groove. My immediate thought was, if I ever have to explain what I believe is real jazz, this is it, and I still feel the same when I listen to [Ahmed] live or on record this very day.  Little did we know that we would be part of the production of their second LP, Super Majnoon released on Café OTO´s own label Otoroku in 2019.
