** 300 copies only reissue, double LP + poster** The doors of Albergo Intergalattico Spaziale have reopened. The band, founded in the late 1970s by Mino De Martino (former bassist of I Giganti) and his wife Terra Di Benedetto, has made a comeback. The cult band recently released their fifth album (including a live compilation) titled Navicomete—a 70-minute double LP (vinyl) that continues their journey into sonic experimentation with spacey and psychedelic atmospheres. The album, composed of *20 tracks* written by Terra Di Benedetto and performed by Mino De Martino alongside a group of highly skilled musicians, is described as a "suite of sound poetry" divided into four parts. The lyrics are sung or recited in multiple languages, including *English, Italian, Latin, Albanian, and Portuguese, and are composed using theatrical and sound poetry techniques. Navicomete also incorporates references to *Dante Alighieri’s *Divine Comedy. The creation of the new album took *over five years* and retains the *psychedelic and experimental influences* that marked the band’s early work, drawing comparisons to artists like Popol Vuh and Tangerine Dream.
The project features collaborations with musicians who have previously worked with Terra and Mino, such as Walter Maioli, Arturo Stalteri, and Vincenzo Zitello, alongside new talents. The album’s visual artwork was designed by artist Rä di Martino.
