2007 release ** Limited edition packaged in a mirrored plastic box with Digipak-CD, t-shirt, pin, sticker and post-cards set. "Uranium USSR 1972 (YPAH CCCP 1972) is a project by Angelo Bergamini, founder of Kirlian Camera and member/collaborator of various projects, including Stalingrad Valkyrie, Spectra*paris, Hipnosis, Siderartica, Ordo Ecclesiae Mortis. Debut album "Avarie" saw the light in 2005. Also in this work, Bergamini relies on the collaboration of his inseparable musical partner Elena Alice Fossi (vocals on 2 songs and curator of the whole graphic project, particularly rich in the special version at the time available as a special "Mirror boxset"), co-leader of the main project since January 2000. The music of UU72 / YC72 is not exactly attributable to Kirlian Camera, on the contrary focusing on contortions that go even to the point of alienation and paranoia, sometimes mitigated by more rarefied and relaxed atmospheres, just for a little while. Echoes from the industrial revolution of the 1900s and early experimental film soundtracks go to meet ghostly, crooked, dangerous urban rhythms. It is a desertified territory, which certainly does not indulge in the smoothness of sound; nothing to do with the overcrowded Industrial music scene, however. The frost of "Avarie" is a chapter in its own right as far as Bergamini's production goes, who here does not follow the multifaceted creative and visionary world of Kirlian Camera nor the decadent and epic crepuscolarismo of Stalingrad Valkyrie, in favor of a "violent complication", completely free from any attempt at dialogue. “Desperate and cynical universe, sometimes crossed by moving sadness and a deep sense of loneliness. A merciless album”. The gear used in this work included Waldorf Pulse synth, E-mu Orbit synth, Yamaha RS7000 workstation, Waldorf Mini Works 4 Pole filtering module, Roland Juno-60 synth (midi equipped), Ensoniq EPS-16 Plus sampler, Roland MC-505 Groovebox, Korg Microkorg 1 synth, Technics radio, etc...
