Enrico Malatesta (1985) is a percussionist active in the field of contemporary music and his personal research is aimed to extend the sonic and multi material possibilities of percussion instruments through simple gestural techniques, able to realize complex polyrhythmic thicknesses and multiple information that exist between performer, space and instrument. Regularly works as a duo with percussionists Christian Wolfarth and Seijiro Murayama and he is a founder member of the percussion ensemble Glück in which is involved together with Burkhard Beins, Michael Vorfeld, Christian Wolfarth and Ingar Zach; also works, in different combination, with the sound artists Giuseppe Ielasi, Luciano Maggiore, Riccardo Baruzzi, Nicola Ratti, Attila Faravelli and Renato Rinaldi; he played concerts throughout Europe, North America, Japan and South Korea and his work is released by the labels Presto!? Records, Second Sleep, Senufo Editions, Entr'acte, Alku, Balloon and Needle, Weighter Recordings. Between 2007 and 2013 he worked for Teatro Valdoca and Mariangela Gualtieri as sound director and stage musician.
