These rare and historically important recordings of international avant-garde music have been carefully digitized and remastered by the Earle Brown Music Foundation. Volume two includes music by Nono (Polifonica-Monodia-Ritmica), Bruno Maderna (Serenata No. 2), Luciano Berio (Differences) Peter Maxwell Davies (Antechrist), Harrison Birtwistle (Ring a Dumb Carillon), David Bedford (Come In Here Child), Richard Orton (Cycle for 2 or 4 Players), Morton Feldman (Durations I-IV) and Earle Brown (Music for Violin, Cello and Piano, and Hodograph I)

Packaged in a box with three CD's in regular jewel case and four booklets contaning liner notes in English, German and French. This set is volume two in a series of six volumes reproducing 18 LP albums originally released on Time Records and Mainstream Records. These albums were curated and published by Earle Brown between 1960 and 1973. The individual CD's have been reproduced with original artwork and liner notes. The fourth booklet contain further info on the series, not included with the original releases. -- Tracks 1-1 and 1-2 were recorded in London, track 1-3 was recorded in New York. Recording locations and dates for the other tracks are not available.
