1978 double LP set on the obscure Italian label I Dischi Dell'Ippopotamo with a landmark performance of John Cages' composition by pianist extraordinnaire Bruno Canino, never re-issued since.

** condition: NM/VG+ (gatefold sleeve / sleeve has light wear) ** Landmark performance of the first eight pieces from John Cage’s important and very difficult indeterminate composition Etudes Australes by one of Italy’s most prominent pianists with an impeccable repertoire spanning from baroque to contemporary music, for which he’s been the dedicatee of compositions by Luciano Berio, Mauricio Kagel, Wolfgang Rihm and Iannis Xenakis among many others. Released as a double album on the tiny and rather obscure Dischi dell’Ippopotamo and never re-issued.
