Monoton was founded in 1979 by hypermedia wizard konrad becker as an art project that underwent various transformations and collaborations in its exploration of psycho-active sound. these eps contain distinguished electronic soundscapes related to mathematics and psycho-acoustics research made from 1981 to 1983 with analog synthesizers and micro-computers, including a commodore 64. with many materials never released or rarely available, six of these eight lost tracks see the light of day for the first time. only ich weiss nichts, appearing here in a rmx version by mr becker, was released in 1981, on an ep, monotonprodukt 04 and mutation waltz on the 1982 sampler q.e.d."
