*150 copies limited edition* L'Arbre du Ténéré, known in English as the Tree of Ténéré, was a solitary acacia that was once considered the most isolated tree on Earth, standing alone for over 400 kilometers. It was a landmark on caravan routes through the Ténéré region of the Sahara in Northeast Niger, until it was knocked down by a drunk truck driver in 1973. La pelle del fantasma is the debut full length ot the duo composed by Maurizio Abate and Giovanni Donadini (Ottaven, Fantamatres) building a dialogue between open improvisation and armonic structures, moving from ambient soundies to a texture of soft psychedelia, trying to create a musical portrait of this special tree and its history, from the lonely past to the shape of today, a metallic sculpture which replaced it.
