2005 release ** "Brasil and the Gallowbrothers Band is the new, second project by the collective after One Inch of Shadow - Dominic Savio, Mirt - musicians known for numerous productions released under the banners of various labels, including the Cat Sun they founded. The musicians have been creating together and solo since the mid-nineties. Live, they participated in joint improvisations with, among others, American psychofolk musicians from Black Forest/Black Sea and Stwory Wodne Jaszczury. The band has performed at, among others, the Wroclaw Industrial Festival and Muzyka w Krajobrazie in Inowłódz, and this year they will perform at the Audio Art festival. Their recordings have been included on several compilations around the world, alongside artists such as Legendary Pink Dots, Tony Wakeford, Hybrids, Tor Lundvall, Birchville Cat Motel, My Cat is an Alien, Fursaxa and Bardo Pond. The musicians have released three albums as Brasil. The first one, "Wander Till Spring", was released by Cat Sun, the second one, "The Band Plays On, The Dunes Move On (Caught Me with Your Eyes Closed)", is available thanks to the American Last Visible Dog, the third one, "Legionowo", is released after three years of work by MonotypeRec. "Legionowo - a post-industrial soap opera, the libretto of which is the longings of housewives about the distant Eldorado from television, their fear of leaving one of a thousand identical concrete partitions, the monotonous mumbling over beer of their spouses, certain despite their complaints that the way things are, is good or at least safe. An album that, alongside that warm and humid, lazily beating heart, celebrates the rough, grey and dingy shell of the organism. Legionowo is not a cheap morality play, it is a collage whose elements we have been collecting for the last three years, a structure built from randomly assembled elements, field recordings, their interpretations, scraps of text, improvisations, cheap melancholy and dirt straight from the trash, all-encompassing substitutes.""
