Mariachi is Parisian guitarist Nina Garcia’s solo moniker. Other projects Garcia is known for are her groups Mamiedaragon Autoreverse (with Arnaud Rivière), duos with Maria Bertel or Augustin Bette and the big band Le Un. Mariachi’s LP was recorded in Brasseries Atlas in Bruxelles with Frédéric Alstadt in march 2018. One guitar, one pedal, one amp, one take and two sides!

The first side is an extended improvised pieces and the second is a series of miniatures, all exercise in various approaces to the guitar. The precedents for this kind of guitar extrapolation would be Derek Bailey, Fred Frith, Keiji Haino, and more recently Alessandra Novaga, Heather Leigh and Susan Alcorn have similarly stretched the instrument to it's limit.
