Among his unforgettable compositions was Metti una sera a cena with which he won his first Nastro d'Argento in 1970. The film, based on a play (1967) by the same director G. Patroni Griffi, tells the story of a rich bourgeois woman who betrays her writer husband with an actor. A tragi-comedy played down by a light and sparkling soundtrack that accompanies the protagonists in their desperate existence. The main theme, "Metti, una sera a cena", is proposed in five versions, which you never get tired of hearing, also thanks to the voice of Edda Dell'Orso. The same theme is also taken up in "Hurry to me" written by Patroni Griffi and sung by The Sandpipers. For those nostalgic for the era, the soundtrack closes with the original Radio spot.
