As each year passed, I found myself feeling a sense of rupture and absence, far from home. In search for comfort, I turned to my native language of Farsi. However, even within the confines of my language, I was unable to escape the feeling of fragmentation. Each sentence I read seemed to shatter within my mind, creating an expanding void within me. The only solution I could find was to return to the works of Yadollah Royaee. Through his poetry collections, particularly "Seventy Grave Stones," Royaee's words mended my ruptures and inspired me to write numerous pieces. Through his carefully crafted words, Royaee disrupted linguistic expectations, bringing life and meaning to the lifeless tombstones. As I revisited his poetry, I found myself immersed in imagery and sound, expanding my fractured being and discovering solace.
