Das Ding, also known as Danny Bosten, is a minimalist wave pioneer who returns to Electronic Emergencies label after a ten-year hiatus with a tastefully selected selection of vintage tunes from early 1980s tape recordings. Das Ding collaborated with pals in a bedroom studio in the Dutch countryside, creating raw, experimental music inspired by proto-techno, early EBM, and new wave using inexpensive analog equipment. Looking back, these sounds are definitely Das Ding, and Ruud Lekx's careful remastering of the original lo-fi vibe is preserved in this clear vinyl release.
