Tip! *25 copies special limited edition with handcrafted crochet case* Organica is the new album by the Florence based artist Pietro Michi, founder of Biodiversità Records and active under the monikers FossaDelRumore and P I T since 2016. His work including his own imprint is strongly influenced by themes of biology, ecology and relationship between nature and digitalization. Topics explored by means of drone, noise and soundscape at large. The album was composed with generative synth patterns meandering over pre-recorded soundscapes where various synthesizer parameters are manipulated to create an ideal 30-minute intervention. The captured live-tempo audio output is an immersive ambient excursion playing with foreground/background dynamics through seemingly alive sprouts of micro-sounds, soft pads and sharp textures.
Organica doesn't stem from a folkloric tale or human narrative. Instead, it manifests as an intricate entity, akin to an electric forest, where communication unfolds through sounds that hover on the edge of codifiability.
