Otherspace records your audio surroundings and plays back sounds as compositional elements within four atmospheric spaces composed by sound artist perila. each space has its own mood and character and will unfold according to the environment you are in. each listener can explore their own unique relationship and experience with the app.

recordings of Otherspace being used in Morocco, Canada, Italy, and Germany were compiled as a limited edition cassette in celebration of the release, and to document the work in a fixed media archive that will outlast the lifespan of a contemporary smartphone app. Audio generated by otherspace is rendered in binaural spatial audio - headphone listening is highly recommended.
