Composer Makoto Shinohara studied under Gottfried Michael Koenig (WDR studio) and Karlheinz Stockhausen in early 60's. He has made some electronic music in 60-70's at Institute of Sonology Utrecht mainly. This CD is an important album of Japanese electronic music. Booklet is written by Japanese and English. Contents: 'Visions I' (1965) - electronic sound made of only sine waves. 'Memorires' (1966 ) - collage work made from electronic sound and modulated human voices. 'Personnage' (1973) - composed at TU Berlin. The work consists of,for the auditive elements, sounds entirely originated from a man. 'City Visit' (1979) - collage work made from sound images of New York (streets, music hall, Broadway theaters and so on.)
