*Edition of 50* "Synthetic worlds erected by experiments with topology can be spaces of liberations and decoys. First you set up the rules of the world, then you build architecture and finally place a crowd to inhabit it and test the environment. They are bordered by walls wider than higher and connected by doors leading back in again instead of taking one out. These paradoxes are just two examples of a multitude of traps set up by Viktor Timofeev. They form the structure of his visual art and sound compositions. He uses space to think of music. He builds 3D graphic scores, as another type of synthetic space which has rules and structure. Sounds inhabit them just like dwellers. He treats his records like exhibitions, which also suggests that this is a movement from an environment to environment - a journey. Perhaps a walk through different carriages in a train.

Secondary beliefs is an expression which suggests that this set is composed of outtakes - various tracks made in different moments and stylistics. It is a wild journey that starts with the dark chords close to Art Zoyd or dungeon synth. To reach the peak in Skumjas - Latvian from sadness - where a nostalgic guitar groan emerges from a decomposed revolving mass of sounds. Каламбур is Russian for Pun, yet the distorted vocals prohibit the listener from learning its logic. After a brief detour in another dungeon, the carriage reemerges on the dark and worn-out surface." - Daniel Muzyczuk
