Zebra is manned by Roel Meelkop and Frans de Waard, two people with whom I have already a friendship that originates from the early 80s. Structurally the music is much more complex than the 2.5 minute ditties that top the charts. The compositions last more than 5 minutes and together they form one mix. A mega mix, one would say in terms of the 80s and 90s. So, Zebra usues many parts and aspects of that era but certainly does not imitate it. More still, it reminds a bit of the symphonic rock of the 70s. The music of Quiet Sun and Utopia, perhaps even the Krauty stuff of Faust.
