The piece delves into the concept of emptiness, both in its physical and metaphorical sense, inviting the listener to immerse themselves in a sonic space where the boundaries between the tangible and intangible blur. 

“Void Sessions” is a sonic piece produced in my father’s room who passed away in 2021, using radios and a radio/TV set as the primary sound source. This creation seeks to explore the duality between silence and sound, channelling my father’s absent presence and exploring the void left by his departure. The piece evokes a profound sense of nostalgia and loss, using the sounds of the radios as a bridge between the past and the present. It plays with the duality between emptiness and fullness, employing sounds that evoke the sensation of infinite space and absence, as well as moments of sonic density that fill the environment. 
Each sound captured by the radios carries unique emotional resonances, reflecting the relationship with my father, as well as the shared memories in that space. Inspired by the art of domestic sound and my personal experience, the piece becomes an emotional testimony and an intimate exploration of memory, grief, and emotional connection through sounds that evolve and transform gradually, taking the listener on a sonic journey that challenges traditional musical expectations and conventions.
