Beat Records is glad to present on CD the original score by Ennio Morricone for the western “La Resa Dei Conti” (Aka “The Big Gundown”, “El Halcon Y La Presa”) directed in 1966 by Sergio Sollima and starring Lee Van Cleef, Tomas Milian, Nieves Navarro, Walter Barnes, Jose Torres. Ennio Morricone created one of his most evocative soundtracks for the Italian Western composing a wild orchestral theme introduced in the Main Titles Song performed by the sharp throat of Christy, a well known name amon…
Los Desperados was released in 1967, and all that was issued from the soundtrack was two tracks on a 45 rpm single, one track being a vocal by john Balfour and also a short orchestral track on the B side of the record. Balfour has a distinct sounding voice, nearly as unique as that of fellow vocalist Raoul. Versions of the song are repeated throughout the soundtrack and make an appearance on 5 occasions during its duration. The score by Gianni Ferrio, is not a typical example of Italian western …
Deluxe Edition housed in a cloth-bound clamshell box with reproductions of LHI-era artifacts including press photos and a reproduction plane ticket used by Lee Hazelwood back in '70. But the true icing on the cake is three data discs which include just about every 45 single and every LP ever released on LHI in both WAV and MP3 formats. At around 17 albums and 72 singles (totaling 305 songs!), that's a whole lot of Lee. 2013 five disc (four CDs + DVD) book/box set. This landmark box set is the ul…
At the time of the film's release only a 45rpm single of this original soundtrack was issued which contained the song "Can Be Done", with lyrics by Sergio Bardotti and sung by Rocky Roberts (in 1966, Luis Bacalov had already collaborated with Roberts, performer of the main theme from the highly successful 2012 western movie Django). Only in 1995, Point Records released a CD which contained the instrumental score coupled with the OST from Il Grande Duello. For this issue, Digitmovies' new digital…

Dagored present a reissue of Riz Ortolani's soundtrack for the 1967 film Day Of Anger. The soundtrack was originally released on vinyl in 1970. A really great western soundtrack from the giant Riz Ortolani for the 1967 cult movie Day Of Anger starring the mighty Lee Van Cleef and Giuliano Gemma. Mixing the usual western elements, Morricone style, with some incredible groovy touches with jazzy horns and loud electric guitars, Ortolani brings a new jazz verve into the "spaghetti" western sound. Th…
2019 Repress. Ennio Morricone's legendary soundtrack for the 1968 film Il grande silenzio (The Great Silence), directed by Sergio Corbucci and starring Jean-Louis Trintignant and Klaus Kinski. This melancholic, emotive score, deeply moving and as cold as the snow-covered landscape of the film (an unusual stylistic choice for a Western), is considered one of the best Western works by Morricone since his collaborations with Sergio Leone for the classic Dollars Trilogy and Once Upon a Time in the W…
“Un esercito di 5 uomini” (The Five Men Army) is a western movie directed by Italo Zingarelli in 1969, dating back to the golden age of the so-called Italian ‘spagetti western’ genre; among the protagonists we find a Bud Spencer whose popularity would have dramatically increase only the following year, thanks to the legendary “Lo chiamavano Trinità…”.
The soundtrack has been composed by Ennio Morricone and directed by his historic companion Bruno Nicolai, and sees the participation of I …
Skilled spaghetti western soundtrack action from Nico Fidenco. The sand-swept accompaniment to Per il Gusto di Uccidere has clearly learned all the lessons of the Morricone maestro, but it also has a nice personal Fidenco touch. Also, that’s a pretty great cover isn’t it? Limited edition reissue on coloured vinyl. On Dagored. Classic soundtrack from the great Nico Fidenco (Black Emanuelle) for the western movie from the cult director Tonino Valeri (My Name Is Nobody - Day of Anger) Fidenco is …
Bruno Nicolai's soundtrack for the second and last film in the Sabata trilogy from the early 70s – noteworthy for the fact that Yul Brynner took over the starring role, and that Nicolai handled the scoring of the film! Nicolai's style here borrows a lot from frequent partner Ennio Morricone – and the overall feel of the work is extremely powerful – with the sort of broad, bold Morricone themes that we love so much – often done with unusual touches that include floating vocals, trilling f…
Dagored present a complete edition of Ennio Morricone's soundtrack for Death Rides A Horse (Da Uomo a Uomo). The soundtrack for this epic western movie featuring the great Lee Van Cleef bears the signature of Ennio Morricone: guitars, flute, piano, timpani, drums, and a Native American choir style make this motion picture a kind of original masterpiece in the maestro's oeuvre. I Cantori Moderni di Alessandroni performs here in its own unique way with Alessandro Alessandroni himself providing h…
Original soundtrack from the movie Il Mercenario (A Professional Gun), a Western movie from 1968 starring Franco Nero and Jack Palance. Music was fully composed and orchestrated by Ennio Morricone and directed by legendary Bruno Nicolai. A lesser-known Morricone soundtrack – written for an obscure western, but right up there with some of the maestro's best for much bigger movies! A number of tunes have that spooky "whistler" style of writing that we love from Morricone – spare whistling over dar…
“Gli Intoccabili” (The untouchables) is a slightly unknown movie that belongs to a very crowded group of international productions made between the ’60s and the ’70s. Some became ‘instant classics’, while many others remained unknown for years, only to be rediscovered recently and pronounced a cult movie. Such as this film directed by Giuliano Montaldo in the US and screened for the first time on April 1969. The cast is stellar, with a young Peter ‘Lieutenant Columbo’ Falk, John Cassavete…
Stelvio Cipriani's seminal soundtrack for the legendary 1972 film La polizia ringrazia (internationally released as Execution Squad and The Enforcers), directed by the great Steno, who started the "poliziottesco" genre, and starring Enrico Maria Salerno and Mariangela Melato. Italian hard-boiled vibes on Dagored! First complete vinyl reissue. Light beige vinyl. Limited edition of 500.
2020 repress, clear vinyl + poster. After the "Dollar Trilogy", Sergio Leone was given a new offer on another western movie that he could not refuse. Following his own rules again, and working on the film story with Bernardo Bertolucci and Dario Argento, he directed the monumental "Once upon a time in the West", featuring the American actors Henry Fonda and Charles Bronson among others. Each character is strongly stereotyped here, a fact emphasized by the motion picture soundtrack, once again del…
