Lino Capra Vaccina (b. 1953) is a percusssionist and composer based in Milan. He studied percussion, piano, composition and choral singing at the Civica Scuola di Musica in Milan, and started his musical activity founding Aktuala (along with Walter Maioli) in 1972, shortly followed by a long and intense collaboration with Franco Battiato as a percussionist and co-author. Since the 1970s, he blends traditional instruments with modern techniques to create unique soundscapes reflecting his engagement with folk and avant-garde traditions.
