With "Big Moog" and Harald Grosskopf on drums: The cult album from 1976. For many fans of cosmic music from Germany, Schulze's sixth album "Moondawn", originally released in 1976, is considered a highlight in the musician's oeuvre, which is not exactly lacking in showpieces. Its cult status was due in particular to the use of a "Big Moog" for the first time, which draws attention to itself with a particularly fat sound. Furthermore, "Moondawn" was the first Klaus Schulze production to be made as a multitrack recording in a 16-track studio in just one night. Schulze was accompanied by Harald Grosskopf (Scorpions, Kosmische Kuriere, Wallenstein, Ashra, Lüül) on drums. Compared to Schulze's previous works, this resulted in a very dynamic, almost rock-like album, which was also Schulze's intention, as he himself put it: "This recording opened another door I wanted to go through since years - the rock music." The re-release of "Moondawn" comes in a deluxe edition with the almost 22-minute bonus track "Floating Sequence" and detailed liner notes.
