*50 copies limited edition* According to the general rule of exponents, any number raised to the power of 0 equals 1, with the exception of 0 raised to the power of 0, which is an indeterminate form. The expression 0 raised to the power of 0 arises when we have no quantity to multiply by itself zero times. In simpler terms, it represents the empty product. The empty / nullary / vacuous product refers to the result you get when you multiply no numbers. But apart from 0, any number raised to the power of 0 equals 1. Any number you can think of! Make it double and it equals 2. Now imagine one large table. 4 people are sitting next to each other. A trillion of walkmen and cassettes make a tower of magnetic tape. The 4 people almost cannot see each other. Suddenly they move. Cassettes are playing simultaneously. Walkman's clicks and clacks. Some French women. Distortion. Rewind. Strange broken fiction music. Forth. A piano? Pause. Mumbling. Wrong speed. History lessons. Some little noises. Various speeches. Lou Ottens. Tape music. Music from tapes. Demagnetized. Altered. Spread. Raised to the power of 0. Equals 1! Harold Schellinx, Emmanuel Rébus, Blenno Die Wurstbrücke & Anton Mobin playing cassettes. Again!

"The Art of K7 - vol.#2", out now on Coherent States, is the second installment on cassette by the tape music supergroup X°=1. The first volume was released on Steep Gloss label a few years ago. Harold Schellinx and Emmanuel Rébus made extensive use of their dictaphones in Diktat's "Tour De Force" cassette (CS-7) for Coherent States back in 2016, while Harold's "Histoire de l’Art" cdr (CS-44) was released on Coherent States in 2022. Anton Mobin is a brilliant improviser and instrument builder, creative force of the now dormant H.A.K. Lo-Fi Records (cassette) label and producer of adventurous independent radio shows since the early 2000´s. He currently lives in Orléans, France. Blenno Wurstbrücke made the Art of K7 cover collages. He roams the world performing with his colorful DIY Povera Sound Systems, and quite generally practices his life in the powerful ‘arte povera’ style that his sound and other works continue to breath.
