He decided to work with a full band, featuring musicians like bassist Joël Dugrenot and former King Crimson violinist David Cross. Recorded at Virgin's Manor studio, the album includes English musicians and two vocal tracks in French.

The album blends psychedelic, new age, folk, rock, and jazz fusion, ending with an abstract electronic piece. Following its release, Clearlight toured the UK with an altered line-up, supporting Gong.
