Through sound, sculpture, site-specific interventions, actions, and publications in diverse formats, Mario de Vega’s research explores the value of failure, vulnerability, and simulation. De Vega has led seminars, workshops and talks at the University of the Arts and the Technical University in Berlin, the Darmstadt International Music Institute, the Braunschweig University of Art, the Laboratorio Arte Alameda, Goucher College, ArtPlay Center, LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial, and Harvestworks Digital Media Arts Center, among others. His work has been exhibited in different contexts throughout Mexico, North America, South Africa, India, Russia, Japan, and around Europe. He lives and works in Berlin and Mexico City.
