*Limited edition - 1st press of 118 audiophile CDr ephemerals* Defined as "the best secret of Italian music" (Gigi Razete-La Repubblica) Celletti actually has over 20 record albums under her belt with English and American labels, concerts all over the world and millions of listens on Spotify. Graduated from the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, she comes from a classical background, but her inclination to experiment has broadened her experiences with forays into rock, avant-garde and electronic music. You have collaborated with numerous Italian artists (from Gianni Maroccolo to Claudio Rocchi, Marlene Kuntz and Franco Battiato) and international artists (including Hans Joachim Roedelius, pioneer of German electronic music with Brian Eno and Cluster).
In “Minimal” (Celletti's previous album) the Roman musician tried her hand at a repertoire very dear to her, putting together her own compositions and authors that she herself considers important references: Erik Satie, Arvo Part, John Cage, Philip Glass.
“I love these authors because they seek the essence of sound using the essential elements of harmony, melody and rhythm and purifying the music of any superfluous elements. In Ultraminimal I tried to push myself in this direction by trying something extreme: taking every single note of my piano and treating every sound as if it were the precious element of an alchemical process. Ultraminimal is my sonic journey into the infinitely small to translate internal resonances into sounds. This album is a bet, or perhaps a real gamble. Me I like to move in the world and in art thinking that I have nothing to lose anyway...The only thing I want to defend is my desire to search. Between the desert and the stars there is an invisible sound. Without points of reference”. Alessandra Celletti
