The three musicians collaborate frequently in duo and trio formats. This album documents a duo performance by Alvear (guitar) and d’incise (vibraphone, electronics) of “Sleepless Night” (2022), a work by Spanish composer/sound artist Clara de Asís; and a trio performance by Alvear (guitar), Bondi (vibraphone) and d’incise (electronics) of “uno, dos o tres en una pieza para cuatro” (2016), by the Chilean composer Santiago Astaburuaga. Recorded in May 2023, both performances effectively weave together the straightforward sounds of guitar, vibraphone and electronics, resulting in works of indescribable beauty.
